The summer box-office has kick started in a big way. Both releases of last week, Laurence`s horror comedy Kanchana2 and Mani Ratnam’s love story OK Kanmani are turning out to be hits.Lawrence directed and acted Kanchana 2, is a blockbuster of gargantuan proposition. It is doing well across A,B and C centres, and everybody seemed to be enjoying it. The film has grossed over Rs 3 Cr in Chennai city from 16 screens in 10 days and is the clear number 1 at CBO, by a mile!In the number two position is Mani Ratnam’s OK Kanmani, which is rocking the multiplexes. After a long time Ratnam has a genuine hit, the film is touching a gross of almost Rs 2 Cr in Chennai city. And in third place is the super hero 3D film Avengers – Age Of Ultron, which got smaller screens, as bigger screens were taken over by Tamil biggies. The film would have taken a bigger opening, if KDM was not delayed and many screens cancelled their noon shows.Komban holds tight at number four. Meanwhile, Fast and Furious 7, at number five still continues to attract summer holiday crowds.
