Superstar Rajinikanth's Annaatthe team had originally planned to complete the shoot in Hyderabad and a huge set was erected at Ramoji Rao Film City. Besides Hyderabad, the team also planned to shoot a few scenes in Pune. Now, we hear that the makers have decided to shoot the remaining scenes in Chennai, and set work will soon commence in Chennai.
There were rumours that the film was getting shelved, but the producers have denied it. The shoot has been shifted to Chennai to suit its actors convenience and to avoid travel.
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the entire team will be camping in Chennai and complete the remaining 50% shoot only after the Government permits the film industry to resume the shooting process.
Produced by Sun Pictures, Siva of Viswasam fame is directing the film which also has Meena, Khushbu, Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj, Soori, and Sathish in pivotal characters.
Imman is composing the music for the film and Vetri cranks the camera.
