Recently Jaya TV posted a throwback interview of Vijay in which he spoke about Cheran's Autograph and how the film impressed him. The Thalapathy of Kollywood said that on his way back home, the film kindled his past memories.
For those who don't know, Vijay was Cheran's first choice for Autograph but due to Ghilli dates clash, the actor couldn't do the film. Now, Cheran has revealed that after Autograph, Vijay wanted to work with him for another film but due to Thavamai Thavamirunthu shoot, the director couldn't take up the project.
"I shouldn't have made that mistake. Vijay wanted me to direct a new film with him but I thought of not incurring any loss to the producer of Thavamai Thavamirunthu and missed the opportunity. I would like to convey my regrets to Vijay in person. My Autograph narration to Vijay was unforgettable, he didn't use his mobile phone for three hours and completely respected my script. All he asked me was whether I would like to have some water. That dedication is his victory", said Cheran.
