Prem, Rangayana Raghu, Akshara Menon, Vijay, Avinash
When the title of the movie was first announced as ?Dasavala?, it created waves of curiosity amongst the audience and of course the film industry. Director turned actor Prem is usually recognized for his different kind of stories or roles both as the director and as an actor. Though the movie has a plot sketched in a different way, it holds similarities between the recent Guruprasad?s movie ?Director?s Special?.
The movie revolves around two people Sathya (Prem) and Ranga (Rangayana Raghu). The two of them who work as tourist guides turn into drunkards by the dusk, yet are do-gooders. Their goodness is shown on various levels when they willingly turn their house into a refugee camp. A mentally challenged girl, a physically challenged person who is good at painting, musician who is kicked out from his family, a girl who?s been rescued from human trafficking net, a woman who has willingly separated from her family; all of them seek shelter at Satya?s house.
Though they are from different background and have got to do nothing with each other, the love and affection slowly emerges between all of them. Meanwhile the mentally challenged girl (Akshara Menon) falls for Satya?s samritan nature. What happens next forms the base of the story.
The movie tests your patience throughout and it?s Rangayana Raghu?s comic timing that gives you an air to breathe. Prem who?s last onscreen presence was through Prem Adda, has made a comeback as an actor but is not that convincing.
Akshara Menon has tried hard to play the role of a mentally challenged girl while Vijay the debutante has scored well in his performance. Supporting actors like Hema Choudari, Achyuth Kumar,Shobaraj have done justice to the roles provided to them. Seems like director MS Ramesh has not delivered the output as promised.
