Ravi Teja, Nayantara, JD Chakri, Neha, Banuchander, Shayaji Shinde
After that surprise hit Dhee Seenu Vytla is back with yet another entertainer that starts off promisingly, falters in-between but soon retains the tempo with a good interval bang and a rivetting climax.
Seenu alias "Dubai Seenu" (Ravi Teja) is a desperado for Dubai fortunes lands settled in Mumbai. Instead of going to Dubai, his life ends up as a roadside vendor. In a local train, he finds a beautiful girl Madhumathi (Nayantara) and it is love at first sight. She is a radio jockey who reciprocates his love, after a couple of dream songs. But she goes off to Hyderabad and Seenu follows her and stays with his brother-in-law (Banuchander ? playing the DCP role). One fine day, Dubai Seenu chases and kills a dreaded gangster, brother of a Dubai-based mafia don Jinnah (Sushanth). Jinnah escapes the attack. Now, both are after each other. What is the flashback? Watch it for yourself.
Ravi Teja played his role with ?lan and conviction. His energy is well displayed in the stunt sequences and compared to his previous flicks, he looks handsome here. Nayantara has done a neat job of what is required from her and she looks a million bucks. She is one actress who can look glamourous without shedding clothes. Sushanth the import from Mumbai makes a promising debut in Telugu and he fits the bill to a T.
JD Chakri and Neha played the couple, whose marriage is performed with the help of Ravi Teja (the audience are told through dialogues). Shayaji Shinde as a baddy does excellent job with comical touch. MS Narayana appears as Salman Raj ? the action hero! Raghu Babu as the subordinate to Sayaji Shinde in the home department, Krishna Bhagwan, Brahmanandam and most of the characters that appeared in Ravi Teja's earlier flick with Seenu Vytla in "Venky" are here to entertain you within their limits.
The story is conceived in the fashion of Venky Seenu Vytla?s earlier film, playing with the anti-social elements and their nexus with the Home Department mixed with the personal element of revenge. The first half is packaged well with all mass elements.
On the downside the second half tests your patience as the screenplay runs awry.Mani Sharma?s songs and background score are just average. There is lot of unwanted characters like Sunil, Chakri, Neha which hampers the main storyline.
The chase scene at Old City area laced with the latest real life development (a bomb blast at Mecca Maszid) is well-conceived and action scenes needs special mention. On the whole, if you are looking for time-pass entertainment then grab your pop-corn and go enjoy.
