Actress Dushara Vijayan is on cloud nine as she is getting accolades from the industry and the general public alike.
"I'm excited that I got a role like Mariyamma from Sarpatta Parambarai at the beginning of my career. Working with a talented director like Ranjith sir and a dedicated actor like Arya has motivated me to be very cautious in picking my upcoming films", says Dushara who is a proper Tamil girl from Dindigul.
After discontinued her engineering in PSG, Coimbatore, Dushara also studied Fashion in Taramani, Chennai.
"It wasn't a cakewalk for me to enter into cinema. My initial few films didn't run well but I never gave up. From the beginning, I was clear that should earn a name for myself as a good performer. Thanks to Mariyamma, now people have recognized me", she adds.
"Vasanthabalan sir's film is a romantic drama. It was a great learning experience and working with Arjun Das was competitive as he is a super performer", says the actress.
When asked whether being a Tamil girl was easy in cinema. "It wasn't easy. Initially, my family was a little hesitant but with the support of my mom, I pursued my dream. Now, my dad is super proud of me after watching Sarpatta Parambarai. In my experience, I've also understood saying no is super important in the film industry and we should make ourselves clear before signing any new films", she signs off.
