Today, Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) has announced that from March 29, all film shoots will be cancelled in Tamil Nadu. The shoot will be resumed only after the Government lifts the emergency status on the coronavirus threat in India and Tamil Nadu.
Already, the Tamil Nadu Government has ordered to close all shopping malls and theaters situated in the sixteen border districts of Tamil Nadu so producers have put all releases on hold.
Producers of the last week releases are worried as most of theaters will not screen their films and the loss of crores of money is inevitable. The entire industry has now come to a standstill.
Some of the biggies are also now planning to postpone their release plans.
