In his recent interview with Film Companion, Malayalam cinema's powerhouse performer Fahadh Faasil revealed that even before Super Deluxe (Five years before the release of the film), he invited filmmaker Thiagarajan Kumararaja to Kochi and tried to assemble a Malayalam film. However, the project didn't happen.
Later, when Kumararaja approached Fahadh for Super Deluxe, the actor had his inhibitions to speak in Tamil so he asked the filmmaker to rope in a proper Tamil actor for the particular role. However, Kumararaja convinced Fahadh Faasil and the rest is history.
Fahadh Faasil says that on the sets, he only interacted with others in Tamil and it helped him in the dialogue delivery. The actor says that Tamil is a beautiful and simple language that one can learn it just like how people sing a song from an unknown language.
