Sify.com has some interesting facts about Atlee’s decision behind shooting the football match portions in a set and not in real stadiums.
Apparently, Atlee is planning to shoot the match portions for around 50 days but almost all the stadiums imposed various restrictions—cameras shouldn’t be placed inside the lawn, shoot should be only conducted between 6 AM to 4 PM and the total budget for 50 days is around 18 crore rupees.
Also, the availability and the quality of football stadiums in India is not up to the mark so the team should only shoot overseas, which will further increase the budget. After carefully evaluating all the points, team Thalapathy 63 finally decided to construct a set which only cost them 6 crore rupees, one-third of the estimated budget.
The football stadium is said to be constructed in EVP Studios, says a source close to the team. Produced by AGS Entertainment, Thalapathy Vijay plays a football coach in the film.
