For those fearing it, yes, the film is as crass as the title. Bumboo is an adaptation of ?1973 French play and film L'emmerdeur (A Pain in the A**) directed by ?douard Molinaro. (The film?s trailer had enough references to the word, introducing characters as "Jack Ass Loser" and "Kick Ass Shooter".

The story is convoluted and follows multiple tracks. The tracks of ?the story revolve around a hitman, one of a love story gone kaput, and third of a scamster?s deplorable antics. How the three collide in a hotel with the hotel?s bell-boy (Sanjay Mishra) playing narrator forms the crux of the story. ?

International hitman Mangal Singh (Sharat Saxena) has been hired to kill scamster Manu Gupta (Sudhir Pandey) right outside the Goa High Court. He checks into a hotel room right opposite the court to shoot him without mistake.

Incidentally, an over-enthusiastic editor commissions press reporter Sudhir Sudhakar (Kavin Dave) to cover the Manu Gupta trial. Sudhir gets in touch with his ex-wife who is now involved with a Dr. D?Souza, a psychiatrist running a ?mental clinic?.

Sudhir, who is living in the same hotel as the hitman, tries committing suicide. Will an unlikely friendship develop between the two? What's for sure is this track has given the director ample opportunities to insinuate the homophobic jokes.

Then there's the item song, a lady in a swimsuit emerging from the waters, ample skin-show et al. Filmmaker Jagdish Rajpurohit, who comes from a theater background, makes a film that offers no laughs, and is technically unimpressive. ?

You have Sanjay Mishra singing "why did you break my heart" off-key, you have Sudhir wearing an 'I love Pinky' underwear, ?you have people call Sudhir Sudhakar ?"SuSu", you have enough puke and farts to make you ditch the popcorn. If this is humour, what is torture?

Everyone screams their dialogues, there is an OD of toilet humour (literally), and Goa has never looked this unappealing.

Watch if you want to go through the torture of a talented cast giving their career-worst performances. This comedy is, (pun intended), screwed-up!
