In an interview with Manorama News channel, Kerala health minister K K Shylaja teacher says she had problems about director Aashiq Abu’s Virus, which was a movie that came out last year based on how Kerala resisted the Nipah virus outbreak.
“I was never sitting in any meeting not knowing what to do next, like what is shown in Virus,” she says about the movie. Revathy played the role of the Kerala health minister in Virus and the character was evidently inspired from Shylaja teacher.
“I wouldn’t have bothered if the character did not resemble me,” she explains in the interview. According to her, on being asked about this Aashiq said that they had focused on the emotional side of the incident.
On why Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was not really seen in Virus, the health minister said, “the people in Kerala knows that everything is led by the Chief Minister.”
