Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Tabu, Reema Sen
The last time we saw Sunny Deol, he was trying to outdo his brother Bobby in Shaheed only to end up proving that he is a man born to play action roles and could never do anything else. Being typecast would be any actor?s nightmare but Sunny has used it to his advantage yet again by teaming up with Guddu Dhanoa in Jaal ?The Trap.
Anita (Reema Sen) is the daughter of the Minister of Defense. Knowing the evil and corrupt ways of India, he sends her to live an idyllic existance in New Zealand but then militants try and kidnap her there to free their top boss. Major Kaul (Amrish Puri) saves her and kills the militants. The major has a son Ajay (Sunny) who is head over heels in love with widower, Neha (Tabu). He asks Ajay to come and work with him but Ajay refuses to leave his home town of Shimla and his love. But circumstances change all of that when Neha is kidnapped. The miltants tell Ajay that if he wants to see her alive again then he must kidnap Anita from New Zealand. Thus, he sets off for New Zealand. The Major is happy to see that his son has come to his senses and has come to work with him. Anita, on the other hand, falls for Ajay and he uses this to kidnap her and bring her back to India. The militants then play a cruel trick on him and make off with Anita and Neha, holding them hostage in return for the release of their leader. How will Ajay remedy the mess now?
The movie also stars Jackie Shroff in a surprise but crucial role as well as Farida Jalal, Shahbaaz Khan and Aashish Vidyarthi. Music is by Anand Raj Anand and the movie is all set for release on 27th December.
