Kamal Haasan: We should prevent mishaps like what happened on Indian -2 set

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, director Shankar, and representatives of Lyca Productions along with FEFSI's President RK Selvamani handed over Rs 1 Crore each to the families of the three deceased technicians who lost their lives in the tragic accident happened on the sets of Indian 2.

RK Selvamani said: "Many such tragic incidents happened in the past but for the first time, the film's producer, director, and hero have come together to give one crore each to the deceased. Besides the three crores, they have given 90 lakhs to a technician named Ramarajan who was severely wounded and 10 lakhs another wounded technician. Altogether, the Indian 2 team has given Rs 4 C to the affected technicians".

Speaking at the press meet, Kamal Haasan said that there shouldn't be another mishap like Indian 2. "Actors and directors are emotional people, they would financially help the affected technicians but we should appreciate the producers who have come forward offer a huge help", said Kamal Haasan.

When asked whether they will conduct shoot on the same sets, Haasan said: "Only director Shankar should take a final call on that".
