Movie Title

Sandeep Gunnam

Star Cast

Varun Sandesh, Neha Sharma, Tannikella Bharani, Ali

Director Sandeep Gunnam has a readymade script as the film is a remake of Kollywood?s smash hit Dhanush?s Polladhavan. The storyline and narration has some really interesting moments but the pace of the film lacks consistency. It could have been better if the film is told in racy manner. Comedy, couple of good songs and good chemistry between the lead pair are the film?s strength. But many viewers may find repetitive as a similar film titled Ride released few months ago.

Varun ( Varun Sandesh) belongs to a middle class family. A graduate, naturally he likes to own a motorbike. But, his dad (Tannikella Bharani) doesn?t have the financial strength to honor his son?s dream.

Followed by frequent quarrel between the two, the dad gives Varun a bulk amount which is actually kept for his daughter?s marriage. With the money, the guy buys a motorcycle. Soon, he gets a job as loan recovery agent and also wins the heart of his lady love Hema (Neha Sharma), being after her for two years.

At a time when his family is happy with his achievements, his bike is lost, girlfriend gives a hand and his job is at stake. As he is in search of his bike, he happens to encounter the brother of a dreaded goon Satya (Ravi Shankar). What is the link between the vehicle lifting and the goons and how the hero gets back what he has lost? It forms the crux of the movie.

Varun Sandesh looks more like a lover boy. He does action for the first time and also takes up sword in his hands. Is he looking for ?mass image?? Well, he has to wait and do more films for audiences to believe it. Second half is filled with too much gore and bloodshed.

Neha Sharma is highly glamorous and she even turned extremely slim and homely compared to her debut film in Telugu ? Chirutha. Tannikella Bharani did exceedingly well as a middle class father. Ravi Shankar of Bommali fame does complete justice to his role while Venu Madhav could give some doses of comedy, the same is missing from Ali as Jump Jilani and MS Narayana in the routine drunkard role. Dubbing artiste Ravi Shankar in the role of don is perfect.

Music by Achchu is nice but only two numbers are hummable and senior music director Koti has provided background score. New director Sandeep Gunnam has narrated the film in voice over mode and used present-to-past screenplay device, which are nice. Technical highlights of the film are the cinematography of Sarvesh Murari.
