Rekha Vedavyas, Srimurali, Sriki
The movie made the right kind of noise and Sandalwood compared it with ?Delhi Belly?! The director has made an honest attempt to showcase youths and their troubles, but the movie falls short of expectations and in the process fails to impress the audience.
?Loosegalu? is about three youths ? bookie (Srimurali) mechanic (Sriki), and taxi driver (Akul Balaji). They are paired with Rekha Vedavyas, Aishwarya Nag and Shravya. The bookie is just out of the jail and he wants to lead a reformed life. But he is forced to join hands with the mechanic and the taxi driver to commit errors in order to take good care of their girlfriends. What follows is a comedy of errors.
The movie is aptly titled and starts on a promising note, but loses the plot after the intermission. The movie is definitely youth-oriented but falls flat in terms of narration. There are some silly comedy scenes, which makes the movie boring at times.
Rekha Vedavyas emerges as the best performer among the actors. She also happens to be the director?s trump card because he has even convinced her to dance to a special song, a first in Rekha?s career. Nevertheless, her presence in the movie has enhanced the glam quotient.
Srimurali is in his normal self with his hippy hairstyle. While Sriki has done justice to his role, TV anchor-turned-actor Akul Balaji has ?overacted?, as he normally does even on the small screen. Shravya and Aishwarya Nag manage to put up a decent performance.
The winner of the movie is its music composer Vani Harikrishna, wife of well-known music director V Harikrishna. This is Vani?s debut movie as music composer and has definitely made an impressive beginning.
