Love story, set in the backdrop of a village in Mandya, as said in the title, is a grassroot level romantic comedy, which is sure to appeal to every class of audience. A perfect blend of love, romance, comedy and sentiment sums up Love In Mandya. Said to be based on a real life incident, the movie has a wonderful message to the couples who have plans to elope and get married.

Karna (Satish Neenasam) is a cable operator by profession. While at work, he comes across a simple girl (Sindhu Loknath) and falls in love with her. Sindhu, a chatterbox, immediately connects with him and falls in love with him. The duo is now carefree and is happy in their dream world. After running around the trees for some days, they decide to get married and realise that the girl?s parents are against it. Scared of separation, they elope and get married.

In the second half of the film, they are now settled in Hosur and life was not as easy as they thought it would be. Second half is all about how couple realise the reality of life. Will the couple split because they are unable to live happily or sort the issues out and have happy ending forms the crux of the story. While the first half of the film makes audiences laugh, second half gets more serious and gives a wonderful message to the couples.

Satish, who is basically from Mandya, carries the movie with ease with his natural Mandya accent. The way he portrays the complexity issues men suffer from, the helplessness of trying to set up a life in an unknown place after leaving the hometown, handling responsibility, a lover boy, a loving husband, comedy- Satish does it all with ease.

Sindhu finally gets to talk in the movie! The actress, who was till date seen in silent and glamorous roles, pulls of the chatterbox-village-girl avatar with ease. Her chemistry with Satish is another highlight in the film.

Director Arasu Anthare who has also scripted the film, has clearly won in his debut venture. None of the scenes bore the audience. Most of the dialogues are humorous and usage of Mandya language throughout the film comes as an extra entertainment package to the audiences. Anoop Seelin?s music needs a mention. Songs Current Hoda Timealli, sung by Bollywood singer Bappi Lahari and Opkondbutlu Kanla sung by Anoop Seelin are already a hit. Romantic number Ondu Aparoopada Gaana, sung by Rajesh Krishnan and Chaitra also wins the heart.

Simple story line, well-written narration and good comic timing are the elements that make Love in Mandya watchable.

Verdict: Watchable
