Mamangam is the most eagerly awaited big budget extravaganza from Mammootty, which is expected to hit the screens later this year.
As the expectations are going sky high, the director of the film, M Padamkumar has told the viewers not to expect a Baahubali or a Pazhassi Raja while going for Mamangam, during his interview with The Hindu.
According to him the reason is that Mamangam is about a failed hero. “Of course the story is thrilling and has all the elements of an entertainer,” he says in the interview.
About taking over the mantle of direction from Sajeev Pillai, who was removed after a schedule, Padmakumar says, “I don’t want to get into the controversy. I have done Mamangam completely as my cinema.”
