In an interview with The Hindu, actor Unni Mukundan has said that he was originally approached for the role of Chandroth Panicker in Mamangam.
There was a controversy when Queen fame Dhruvan Druv was replaced with Unni Mukundan in the period drama. However Unni clarifies that the role went to Dhruvan when he couldn’t be part of it due to certain reasons. Later it came back to Unni “after certain things went wrong. I don’t want to comment on all that now,” he says in the interview.
According to Unni, Chandroth Panicker is the kind of role that any actor would love to add to his portfolio.
