The much-awaited release of Thalapathy Vijay’s Master, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, remains uncertain, in Kerala, as per the latest reports.
The film exhibitors’ forum FEUOK decided that theatres in Kerala will not reopen on Jan 13 with Master as the major release, as per reports.
There are heated debates going on all over social media about the issue, as a statement reportedly made during the FEOUK meeting that it won’t be ideal to reopen theatres in Kerala with a new Tamil release, started doing the rounds.
The theatre owners are demanding for a reduction in entertainment tax and electricity charges.
The state government had allowed the opening of theatres from Jan 5 onwards, following the Covid 19 regulations, with 50 % occupancy. However, the theatres are still remaining closed.
The fans of Master are waiting for a change in decision from the film organizations, after the meetings with the government.
