Director Raju Murugan and his elder brother Saravana Rajendran have jointly written Mehandi Circus. Apart from writing the core script, Saravana Rajendran has also directed the film which has Madhampatty Rangaraj and Shweta Tripathi of Massan fame in the lead.
Set in the late '80s and early '90s, the film is said to be a poignant love story between a Tamil boy and North Indian girl who works in a circus company. Talking about the film, Raju Murugan said: “Though the story of Mehandi Circus is simple, the backdrop will be unique. My brother Saravana Rajendran’s work is impeccable, hoping that all his hard work will pay off with the success of the film”.
The film’s hero Madhampatty Rangaraj who runs a successful catering company in Coimbatore area said: “I hope that this film will give an opportunity to meet the media again and again. Distributor Sakthivelan, producer Gnanavel Raja and those who have seen the film appreciated us. Eagerly waiting for the release”.
Speaking at the event, producer Gnanavel Raja heaped praise on Sean Roldan’s music, cinematography and the mutual respect among director Saravana Rajendran, writer Raju Murugan, and lyricist Yugabharathi.
