Mollywood celebrates various seasons in style and Onam is one of the biggest occasions every year, as huge crowds throng the cinemas. This year the first week of September will see four major releases.
According to rumors, Mammootty’s Gana Gandharvan, which was expected for Onam, could come during late September. The sensational Thanneermathan Dinangal is going really strong at the cinemas even now, along with Porinju Mariyam Jose, Ambili, Kalki and Pattabhiraman.
Here is a closer look at Mollywood’s 2019 Onam releases. As it is usual in Malayalam Cinema, some last-minute additions or postponements are possible, but these four are expected to hit the screens during the first week of September.
Ittymaani: Made in China
After the spectacular success of Lucifer, the complete actor Mohanlal is back, with the comedy Ittymaani: Made in China. Debutant duo Jibi and Joju are the directors. Produced by Aashirvad Cinemas, Ittymaani: Made in China has Honey Rose, Siddique, Aju Varghese, Kailash, Johny Antony, Dharmajan, Salim Kumar and Hareesh Kanaran in the cast.
Love Action Drama
Actor Dhyan Sreenivasan has a casting coup of sorts in his directorial debut, Love Action Drama. Nivin Pauly and Nayanthara play the lead pair as Dinesh and Shobha. Sreenivasan and Vineeth Sreenivasan include the cast.
Actor Kalabhavan Shajon makes his directorial debut with Brother’s Day, in which Prithviraj is playing a catering worker named Rony. Tamil actor Prasanna is the villain. Aishwarya Lekshmi, Madonna Sebastian, Miya George, and Prayaga Martin include the cast.
Rajisha Vijayan plays a cyclist in director P R Arun’s Finals. Niranj and Suraj Venjaramoodu include the main cast. Maniyanpilla Raju is producing Finals in association with Heavenly Movies.
