One of the legends of Malayalam cinema, scenarist-actor-director Sreenivasan, was at his humorous best in his interview with The Hindu when asked if he is planning to write a script for his sons Vineeth and Dhyan.

In his reply, Sreenivasan says, “Actually they have never asked me for a script. Maybe, they feel I am outdated.”

His elder son Vineeth Sreenivasan is a hit director, besides being an actor and a popular singer, and his younger son Dhyan Sreenivasan is making his debut as a director with the Nivin Pauly – Nayantara starrer Love Action Drama.

On being asked if he regret doing Padmasree Bharat Dr. Saroj Kumar, which incidentally is rumoured to have caused some rift between him and Mohanlal, he says, “We can’t predict the result of any film. It is baseless to say I have done things to mock any particular individual. That has never been my intention”.

The recently released Njan Prakashan, scripted by Sreenivasan and directed by Sathyan Anthikad, is a blockbuster hit
