Meeting the media in Chennai, director Mysskin said that if Savarakathi reaps profit, he would love to produce the sequel. "When my brother Adithya approached me to join my team as an assistant director, I said a big ‘no’. He later assisted directors like Parthiepan and came to me”, said Mysskin, who wrote the story and screenplay of Savarakathi and his brother Adithya makes his debut as a director with the film.

Mysskin also talked about piracy, the director said, “I’m not going to request Tamilrockers to not release Savarakathi. Let them do their job. But what I want to tell everyone is that watching films in theaters is a communal event. I can still remember watching several films of MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan in theaters. Every film is made with the hard work of thousands of people”.

Director Ram said that Savarakathi will be a fun-filled entertainer. “My directorial films will not have many comic elements but Savarakathi will be different. It was Mysskin who approached me for the script and I readily agreed”, said Ram.

Savarakathi is all set to release on February 9.
