Movie Title

Naan Avan Illai-2

Star Cast

Jeevan, Sangeetha, Lakshmi Rai, Hema Malini

Jeevan as the con man is back in a sequel to Naan Avan Illai (2007), it?s a fun movie with no logic or reason. The film is an extension of part 1, with our hero Annamalai (Jeevan) in unnamed foreign location, doing what he does best, conning rich girls.

The film starts with Annamalai?s photo appearing in a newspaper as the ?new God of the generation?. He has a huge following including Maria (Rachna Murya), a mafia style gun slinger turned spiritualist who runs a huge ashram in his name.

Meanwhile three women he conned recently and looted them of their wealth Sakhi(Sruthi), Nisha (Shwetha Menon) and an actress Deepa( Lakshmi Rai) are after him, to expose him and hand him over to the cops.

To add a twist, the bad guy is shown having a soft corner for a woman who lost everything in the Sri Lankan war Mahi (Sangeetha). He loots money from other women and uses it to help Mahi get custodial rights of her daughter from her late husband?s family.

In the climax, in a church he confronts four of the girls he conned by saying his regular punchline dialogue- Naan Avan Illai repeatedly and escapes, probably to do yet another sequel. The film is made to cater to the B and C audience as there is a lot of glamour in the film, with all the girls wearing revealing clothes.

Shwetha Menon getting massaged by our hero, Rachna Maurya in swim suit and liplock with Lakshmi Rai is enough to set the screen on fire.

Jeevan looks plump and D Imman has churned out six numbers, one each with five heroines and a mass song with all girls. The film is predictable at every turn and the second half drags big time, though the film is only 2 hours and 5 minutes. But nevertheless have your share of fun.
