Ravi Teja, Deeksha Seth, Rajendra Prasad, Pradeep Rawat, Sriram, Brahmanandam andothers
Surya (Raviteja), is a good samaritan, running a gym, he is also a nightmare to the baddies in his area. He falls in love with Meghana (Deeksha Seth) smitten by her beauty at a swimming pool. Meghana, an athlete happens to be sister of his friend Srikanth (Sriram) who is employed in Dubai. Srikanth meanwhile falls in love with Vaishnavi (Bhavana) in Dubai. Sirkanth finds himself in trouble, sentenced to death, charged for murdering Vaishnavi. Vaishnavi though accidentally falls from a skyscraper; onlookers mistake Srikanth for murdering her.
Surya who flys to Dubai to celebrate his friend's birthday knows Srikanth's dire state tries to save him aware of Saudi Laws that if the girl's parents signs on a statement pardoning him, he will be saved. Surya will be in for a shock on reaching Vaishnavi's parents place as her father Raja Goud (Pradeep Rawat) deals with land settlements and Surya thrashed his goons on one such occasion earlier. How he achieved his goal forms the crux of the film.
Ravi Teja tries his best to enthrall masses with his unique mannerisms. However, the much expected romantic streak and jolly movements are missing from the actor. Deeksha Seth looked ravishing in gym sequences, but she should improve his performance. Rajendra Prasad, Pradeep Rawat and Brahmanandam have done their best.
Nippu does not have a good script. The storyline is ordinary. Both the direction and screenplay are a letdown. There is nothing sparkling or startling about the subject. All the action sequences are mindless. None of the scenes are connected or interlinked. This is perhaps the weakest film among Gunasekhar's movies in terms of screenplay. First half of the film is pretty boring and tests your patience. Things get bit interesting at the start of the second half and there are few funny scenes between Ravi Teja and Brahmanandam in this part. But, Gunasekhar fails to maintain the same momentum and carry it until the climax.
Thaman's music is a big letdown. He has been in terrific form in the recent past and Nippu comes as a shocker from him. Background score is ordinary too. Cinematography is top notch and Production values are very good. Editing is not up to the mark. Dialogues are average.
