In his recent interview, Bigil's dialogue writer Ramana has revealed that both the son and dad Vijay in the film will be seen in contemporary portions, unlike Mersal in which the dad Vijay was only seen in the flashback episode.
Ramana also said that 'Bigil' will be grander than Atlee's previous two films 'Theri' and 'Mersal'. The dialogue writer added that they initially thought of casting actors like Sathyaraj to play the dad role but it was Atlee who decided to cast Vijay himself for the particular character.
After the look test, everyone in the team was convinced that Vijay will easily pull off the aged characters. Produced by AGS Entertainment, the film's shoot is likely to be wrapped up by the end of this month.
