What if you want to make the copy of a Hollywood film in Malayalam? Debutant director Anvar Sadik has come up with a smart idea in Ormayundo Ee Mukham.

Besides justifying himself in the beginning that he has been inspired by many romantic films that he has seen, one of the characters actually says the happenings in the story reminds of the Hollywood movie, 50 First Dates! And imagine, this movie has been ripped off from the same Adam Sandler-Drew Barrymore rom-com. Too smart, did you say?

Gautham (Vineeth Sreenivasan) is the scion to a pharmaceutical company that produces a tablet for good memory. He is in the search for a right girl to marry and falls in love with Nithya (Namita Pramod), an expert in sand art. But now comes the catch: Her memories, after an accident, lasts only for a day.

The film is about Gautham?s struggles to earn her love.

In all fairness, if you are not bothered about originality in ideas, the movie has been packaged competently by Anvar Sadik. This one is a musical love story and Shaan Rahman?s superb music is the strength of the film. Jithu Damodar?s visuals are good as well.

But the problem of the film is the same when stories which have a distinct Western flavor is brought in to Malayalam. There is a certain charm and of course, some really good moments as well, but that is all it will offer. The scenes are way too long and the climax portions never seem to end.

The performances of actors don?t help things in any way. Vineeth Sreenivasan, never really known for his acting bones, comes up with a rather ordinary show. Namita Pramod repeats her trademark style, which she has reserved for all her roles, yet again.

Ormayundo Ee Mukham has been presented well but it is as exciting as a cold cup of tea in the morning, when you were looking for a hot cuppa. Decide on your own now!
