The best thing about Oru Second Class Yathra is that two directors teamed up to make this one lousy film and imagine if they had made two different films, like this one!

Recently there were suggestions from a celebrated director from Malayalam that the critics who review films should be qualified enough to do that. So, can someone please explain what is the qualification to make a film?

This one has all the ingredients. There are some comic sequences in between the film's initial titles. And by the time it all ends, you start yawning.

If you have seen at least ten commercial ventures in Malayalam, you can easily predict the storyline of this one. Luckily or not, the story never springs any surprises whatsoever.

Two police constables, Balagopal (Sreejith Ravi) and Jolly Kurian (Joju George) are entrusted with the duty of taking two handcuffed convicts, Nandu (Vineeth Sreenivasan) and Maran (Chemban Vinod Jose) from Kannur to Thiruvananthapuram, in a second class compartment.

The superintendent warns the cops, 'One if Raman but the other is Ravanan' and you know it's the silent Nandu, who is the wily one among the two.

We all will wait for one of the convicts to run away. The wait goes on until Kayamkulam, when some twists happen, which you can watch on screen, if you are so keen.

In all fairness, the director duo has packaged the film in a decent way, though there is absolutely nothing that you haven't seen before, in the whole film.

Vineeth Sreenivasan has nothing much to do in the whole film and he has only a couple of lines to deliver. Nikki Galrani, who plays his sister, is doing more of a supporting role.

In fact, it is Chemban Vinod Jose who carries the film in his shoulders. Sreejith Ravi and Joju George have performed well too.

Just like the title suggests, Oru Second Class Yathra is as enjoyable as a trip in a second-class compartment of a train. Of course, we all travel in those compartments, but does it really excite you? If you have any doubts, experience it yourself.
