Actress Parvathy, who was earlier part of a controversy over her remarks about the dialogues in Kasaba which she felt were misogynistic, has started off a debate over “Islamophobia”.
During an interaction at the Akhila Bharathiya Anti-Nazi Film Festival at Kozhikode she made some statements, which is being discussed by the social media. According to some reports she has stated that some of her own films like Ennu Ninte Moideen and Take Off had shades of Islamophobia.
In an interview with The Hindu earlier, she had said that “Many don’t even acknowledge that Islamophobia exists to the extent it does in Kerala. Here, it exists and in excess. It is a thick, viscous stream that is flowing underground.”
