Y Not Studios, one of the leading production houses in Tamil cinema has confirmed that they have put the post-production works on hold due to the coronavirus threat.
"DUE TO THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC CAUSED BY COVID19 VIRUS, WE AT Y NOT STUDIOS HAVE SUSPENDED ALL ADMINISTRATIVE, POST-PRODUCTION & PROMOTIONAL WORKS FOR ALL OUR FILMS, UNTIL THE SITUATION IMPROVES. WISHING EVERYONE GOOD HEALTH", read an official statement from Y Not Studios, the production house's next release is Jagame Thanthiram which is scheduled to hit the screens on May 1.
SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures and Potential Studios tweeted:"In the wake of #Corona we @DreamWarriorpic&@Potential_st have decided to work from home till it settles down. As we always say prevention is better than cure! All be secure and safe!!".
We hear that many production houses have given holidays to their workers and some key officials are working from home. Producers have also decided to stop all film shoots from March 19.
