The reopening of the schools or the coming of new releases has not affected the spectacular run of Alphonse Puthren’s Premam at the box office.
According to trade estimates, Premam has crossed the Rs. 20 crores gross collection mark by last Friday from the Kerala theatres alone and is still going strong.
The film is heading towards the collection records of blockbusters like Bangalore Days and Drishyam. But the interesting aspect is that with the existing ticket rates, it is assumed that half the number of days is enough to earn the money right now.
Premam, which got released on May 29, is running to packed houses everywhere. The film opened outside India on June 11. In the remake market, Premam is the hottest film, as all top heroes and production houses are excited to grab it.
Nivin Pauly is emerging as the darling of the box office with hits one after the other. The young hero’s charisma has worked along with Alphonse Puthren and his team’s superb packaging. And the surprise element of the film is actor Sai Pallavi, who played the character, Malar.
