Star Cast

Cupid is clearly very confused in `Pyar Koi Khel Nahin`, directed by well known editor and first time director Subhash Sehgal. Apoorva Agnihotri and Mahima Chaudhry, fall in love at first sight. But Mahima who`s pretending to be someone else, refuses. But realising that she is neck deep in love soon after, she reciprocates his feelings. But this time loverboy refuses her! Reason? The family has already chosen Mahima as the "right girl" for his bade bhaiya Sunny Deol. And what more, big brother too is in love with her!

Little knowing that it`s his kiddo brother that the girl is after, Bhaiya proposes and Mahima refuses. Heartbroken the very first time in love, he`s the very picture of dejection. The truth`s out soon enough and the much-in-love couple are married off. But there`s trouble in paradise when Apoorva meets with a gory end in an accident. The family marries off a distraught Mahima to a still single Sunny.

Confused? It only gets better from here. Apoorva, whom the baddies had attempted to bump off, appears on scene. This time, he`s determined that Mahima stays back with bhaiya forever. Much tears and tragedies later, the confusion is sorted out and you emerge, wiser and sadder that Hindi film directors somehow manage to convolute even some passably likeable situations.

Of the cast, the usually good Mahima is a put-on at times. She also needs to take some dancing sessions real fast. Apoorva Agnihotri is passable. It is Sunny Deol, who makes this mediocre fare worth a watch, looking every inch, the dependable mature man. The music is average, with the exception of the title song.
