Rajinikanth on #MeToo Movement, says he welcomes the campaign

Superstar Rajinikanth who returned back to Chennai after wrapping his new film ‘Petta’ said that he welcomes the #MeToo movement as women’s safety is important but at the same time, the campaign should not be misused by anyone.

Talking about Chinmayi’s allegations against award-winning lyricist Vairamuthu, Rajini said: “I know about the allegations but Vairamuthu says he has enough proof to prove that the accusation is false”. On Supreme Court’s verdict on Sabarimala, the actor said: “I respect the verdict but ancient tradition must be followed and respected”.

When reporters asked him to reveal a dialogue from Petta, Rajini said “Petta Parak” and ended the press meet with his trademark guffaw.
