The first look teaser launch of Rana Daggubati and Vishnu Vishal's Kaadan was held on Wednesday in Chennai. "The film is based on a real incident. A man in India has created a forest by planting thousands of trees, Rana has played this 50-year-old man. In one of the forest areas in India, a huge wall was created and confused by this obstacle on their routine path, a lot of elephants hit the wall with their head and it caused brain hemorrhage to them. This is an untold story," said the film's director Prabhu Solomon.
The film's hero Rana who plays the titular role said: "I thought Baahubali was the most difficult film I've ever done in my done but within ten days, Kaadan pushed me beyond my limits. It's a tough role to play, I had to perform the same scene in three languages and it was difficult."
Vishnu Vishal said: "My character starts as a selfish guy but after meeting Rana, he slowly changes. In my real life too I'm a bit scared about nature and animals but Kaadan changed me a lot as a person. I was also injured during this film and it changed my life. I'm mentally and physically strong now only because the injury pushed me to work harder."
Produced by Eros International, the film is all set to release on April 2. Aranya is the title of the Telugu version of the film and Haathi Mere Saathi is the title of the Hindi version.
