Iti Srikantha is one of the classics of Bengali cinema and has won two National awards. It is a love triangle written by legendary Bengali writer Saratchandra Chatterjee that has been made into a movie about a man torn between two women Reema Sen and Soha Ali Khan.
There are some steamy bedroom scenes in the film, which has made the Tamil distributors lap it up in the dubbing market.
Reema is still one of the top glam girls in Tamil cinema who created waves with films like Dhool, JJ, Chellamey, Rendu, Vallavan and Aayirathil Oruvan.
When contacted, Reema Sen told sify.com: "First and foremost, Iti Srikanta released in 2004 is an art house Bengali film directed by Anjan Das. I am baffled to hear that now someone is releasing a Tamil dubbed version. I had a meaty role in it and it was Soha Ali Khan's debut film. I can do little about a class film being made to look like a crass commercial".
