VV Vinayak

Star Cast

Allu Arjun, Tamannah, Kelly Dorge, Brahmanandam, Rao Ramesh

The much awaited Rs 40 crore budget movie from Geetha Arts has finally unfolded its merits and demerits.

Badrinath in the combination of V V Vinayak and Allu Arjun created a lot of pre-release sensation. The publicity virtually kept Tollywood ablaze.

Allu Arjun`s six-packs and Tamannaah`s physique generate much heat, drawing the crowd to the theatres.

Badra (Allu Arjun) is the protector of the holy place, Badrinath. Alakananda (Tamannah) visits Badrinath along with her grandfather and falls in love with Badra.

Bhishma Narayan (Prakaash Raj), Badra`s master and head of Takshashila wishes to rope Badra in to his place. In order to be the head of Takshashila one has to be a bachelor for life.

Badra accepts it and promises that he will not break his word. Rest of the story is how Alakananda and Badra unite against all odds.

Allu Arjun has tried his best to save the film with his energetic performance. His dancing skills are superb and worth a watch.

Tamannaah is purely a glam doll in the movie. Prakash Raj acted well as the head of Takshashila. Rao Ramesh, Kelly Dorge and Ashwani Kalasekar justified their roles.

Brahmanandam, M S Narayana, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Krishna Bhagawan and Raghu Babu contributed their might to the comedy department, but the punch factor is missing.

VV Vinayak has made a high-budget movie with a silly subject. Chinni Krishna`s story is weak and outdated.

Screenplay is pathetic. Music by Keeravani is good in parts. Songs and background score is a big plus to the movie.

Cinematography by Ravi Varman is good. Fights by Peter Haynes are grisly and the gore might be shunned by the family crowds.

Choreography showing the beautiful locations of the Himalayas is a highlight. Art work by Anand Sai is good. Production values are good.

The first half of the movie is reserved for introducing the characters one after the other. The real story, weak and senseless, starts only in the second half and the climax is predictable.

Some of the scenes ? like the hero fighting bullets with swords is hilarious. Except for the hero`s stunts and the heroine`s glamour, Badrinath holds nothing for the regular crowds.

Verdict: Disappointing
