If sources in the trade are to be believed, team Sanga Thamizhan is struggling to get enough theaters in Tamil Nadu.
We hear that team 'Bigil' has already inked the deal with all the big distributors who paid a huge amount to procure the film. Another Diwali release 'Kaithi' also got a good deal from the distributors as the trailer is quite promising. Another advantage is that the film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the director of Vijay's next so expectations are quite high.
But team Sanga Thamizhan is almost left with no big players in the market. As Vijay Sethupathi's previous film 'Sindhubaadh' incurred a huge loss to the buyers, the local distributors are not showing much interest to snap the territory wise rights.
Distributors are also preferring only two releases for Diwali as it will be easy for the theater owners to schedule shows and allocate screens. Another big headache is that the Tamil Nadu Government has only allocated one day holiday for Diwali (Sunday).
