The latest hot buzz in Kollywood is that Sara Arjun who impressed everyone with her touching performance in Vikram's Deiva Thirumagal has been roped in to play an important role in the maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam's upcoming magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. Sara was also recently seen in the anthology Sillukarupatti.
Sources say Sara has been chosen for the young version of an important character in the film. Produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, AR Rahman is composing the music for the film and Ravi Varman cranks the camera.
The film also boasts an ensemble of actors including Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sarathkumar, Jayaram, and Adhi in pivotal characters.
Ratnam is planning to release the film in two parts. Before the lockdown, the team completed two long schedules in Thailand.
