Sumanth, Genelia D'Souza, Tanikella Bharani, Kota Srinivas Rao

The most refreshing thing about Satyam is that it has cinematic sensibilities though the story is loosely based on an old Vikraman film. Sumanth has finally left his calling card in Telugu films and Boys fame Genelia is impressive.

Satyam (Sumanth) is Mr Nice Guy who really can?t do anything wrong but for some strange reasons his dad (Malladi Raghav) and the girl he likes, Ankitha (Genelia) don?t vibe with him. He is thus forced to come out his house and stay with a friend. Satyam is an intellectual type who is a good writer and ghostwrites for a popular film lyricist (Tanikella Bharani). Ankitha is in love with the poet within Satyam. And our hero smitten by her, helps her to get a medical entrance seat by helping her monetarily through her father (Koti), but is particular that she does not know about this. To add twist, one of her classmates proposes to her, which creates more complications. How Satyam fights against all odds wins his girl and gets recognition for his work forms the climax.

The storyline though wafer-thin has been technically well shot and Sumanth has done his best to look convincing as Satyam. He has worked hard on his dialogue delivery and overall presentation. Genelia is excellent as her body language is her major asset. The music of Chakri lifts the entire spirit of the film and he appears in a cameo role too. Other highlights are Sameer Reddy?s camera and direction of Surya Kiran.
