Jayasurya, Aparna Nair, Vinayakan, Vinay Forrt
If you love thrillers, it won?t take much time to guess which direction is Aneesh Upasana?s ?Seconds? heading in its quest to unveil some mysteries, after some initial happenings. But even then it is to the credit of the director that the film turns out to be a gripping entertainer.
Among other things, the main backdrop for the story is a shocking incident happening inside an elevator in a plush apartment complex. Veeramani (Jayasurya), Teena (Aparna Nair), Feroze (Vinay Forrt) and Thampi (Vinayakan) are the four people who are in the elevator.
In a matter of some seconds, things go horribly wrong, a series of attacks follow and in the end, only Teena is left unhurt!
The story now takes a flashback mood and explains how each of them lands up there. And there are some really intriguing things that keep you engaged for the rest of the time. We are not going further into the story for sure as it could end up as spoilers.
Even though the total duration is the film is just about 105 minutes, the going gets a bit slow at times. Still the final moments of the film have been packaged with good skill.
The series of events indeed gives a sense of d?j? vu, with some names like the 2010 thriller Devil coming up pretty easily. But in all fairness, Aneesh Upasana and his team has presented a fine entertainer for sure. The actors have performed very well.
Seconds does not offer too much that you haven?t seen before, but even then it is worth the price of your ticket. Now, that is something to cheer about during these times when you are offered pathetic stuff at the cinemas. Try this one.
