Director Selva is a bold man. His Naanga with new faces is releasing this Friday (March 9).

The man who introduced `Thalai` Ajith with Amravathi is now introducing five new heroes with Naanga. It is a personal milestone for the man who has made maximum number of movies with newcomers, as Naanga is his 25th film in two decades in the industry.

Selva says: "I have chosen children of film personalities as my heroes with Naanga. They are Adityan`s son Nivas, director Santhana Bharathy`s son Sanjay Krishna, composer Vasu Rao`s son Muneesh, production executive Gurusamy`s son Vinod and distributor Chandrasekhar`s son Uday, singer Mano`s son is the anti-hero, and producer Swaminathan`s son Ashwin Raja is the comedian. And again for Kasturi, the main character, and the other heroines are debutants."

The director`s concept of the story itself is different. Selva explains: "The story travels between 1985 and 2011 and is five short stories put together. It`s about five friends and the screenplay is in five parts with one of the heroes being the fulcrum of each."

During its making Selva found the going tough. And marketing a film without any known stars proved frustrating. After the release of the film, Selva plans to go on a road trip promoting the film with a week-long road show in Chennai, Tiruchi, Coimbatore, Salem and Madurai.
