Actor Siddharth is one of the very few male Tamil actors who openly supported Chinmayi after she alleged that National Award winning lyricist Vairamuthu invited her to his hotel room and also tried to threaten her with his power.

On Monday, a video of character actor Marimuthu supporting Vairamuthu went on to become viral on the internet but most of the Tamil actors didn’t condemn him.

In the video, Marimuthu said: “What's wrong in it? He is a man who has hormones and it's quite natural for him to be with a girl. I don't think this allegation would affect Vairamuthu in any way. In another three months, a new issue will go viral and we will forget this one”.

Lashing out Marimuthu, Siddharth tweeted ““Indha asingam pudichavar #PariyerumPerumal la kettavana nalla nadichaarnnu nenachen. Avane dhaana nee? Chi!” (Thought this ugly fellow superbly acted as the baddie in Pariyerum Perumal but he himself is one such baddie in real life)”.

Siddharth also tweeted about the cruel murder of thirteen-year-old Rajalakshmi who was murdered by a twenty-six-year-old man. “A 13 year old girl was allegedly beheaded in front of her mother by a man who she rejected. The victim was from an oppressed caste and the killer from a higher caste. This barbarism needs to be addressed. Caste cannot take society down to its depths. Enough. #JusticeForRajalakshmi", wrote Siddharth
