Prakash Jayaram

Star Cast

Vinay Raghavendra Rajakumar, Apoorva Arora, Ashissh Vidyarthi

The much hyped and the year's one of the most expected movie has been released and expectations have always been on a different level when it's a film of the Rajkumar clan; Siddhartha is no exception. The debut movie of Vinay Rajkumar has definitely reached the expectations of the audience and Milana Prakash has amazingly worked on the script that perfectly suits the young stud.

The story is no new, but the treatment given to the subject and the characters is unique and grabs the audiences attention. A boy falls in love with a girl; she initially rejects but then reciprocates, all thanks to our hero's friends; misunderstandings arise and get cleared before marriage and all is well that ends well. This is the story of Vinay's Siddhartha.

Prakash Jayaram aka Milana Prakash has served the old wine in a brand new fancy glass and this man surely knows the trade of serving. Vinay Rajkumar convincingly impresses through his debut movie. Action and dance sequences are something to watch out for, while the 3rd generation kid from the most respected filmy clan of Sandalwood, can definitely be the next gen actor provided he improvises on his acting skills. Apoorva Arora is sure to be on the Sandalwood's priority list as the petite actress garners special attention in the movie.

Alok is a new hope in the next gen of comedy actors and manages to tickle the funny bones of the audience. Sadhu Kokila, Achyuth Rao and the rest of the supporting star cast are at their best and make the film a complete family entertainer.

Harikrishna's music have already been topping the charts and are a value addition to the love story and goes with the flow of the storyline. Prakash Jayaram seemed to have been influenced from his own directorial Milana at certain instances in the movie. Well, it's time for the director to think something fresh and serve the audience a new wine. Though Siddhartha proves to be a soft launch pad for Vinay, he has kickstarted the journey and is here to stay!!

Verdict: a perfect weekend entertainer
