After a string of flops, actor Sivakarthikeyan has decided to push his rural entertainer with hot-shot director Pandiraj as his next release.
Now, in their official statement, legendary production house Vijaya Productions has clarified that they have no idea to allow other production houses to use the title of their blockbuster film ‘Engal Veetu Pillai’ starring Tamil cinema’s biggest Superstar MGR.
Recently, there were reports that Sun Pictures have approached Vijaya Productions to get permission to use the title ‘Engal Veetu Pillai’ for their upcoming film with Pandiraj. Sivakarthikeyan plays the lead role in the film which also has Anu Emmanuel, Aishwarya Rajesh, Soori, Bharathiraja, Natraj, and Ponvannan in pivotal characters.
When asked, sources close to director Pandiraj say that they didn’t even think of the title and all these reports are media speculations. We also hear that Vijaya Productions is planning to remake Engal Veetu Pillai with a current generation big star so they don’t want others to use the popular title.
