'Sivaranjaniyum Innum Sila Pengallum' bags Best Film Award in Japan

Director Vasanth of Rhythm and Aasai fame is currently busy attending prestigious film festivals where his new film 'Sivaranjaniyum Innum Sila Pengallum' gets critical recognition and also bagging awards. On September 15, the film got screened in the 28th Fukuoka International Film Festival and won the Best Film Award.

Starring Parvathy Thiruvothu, Lakshmi Priya Chandramouli, and Kaleseewari Srinivasan, the film is based on the short stories written by Ashokamitran, Aadhavan, and Jeya Mohan.

On winning the prestigious award, Vasanth said: "I am very humbled & happy that "Sivaranjani and Two Other Women" has won the Best Film Award at Fukuoka International Film Festival. I thank the festival team & I'd like to place on record my writers - the heroes - the late Ashokamitran, the late Aadhavan, and the living legend Jeya Mohan. They are the backbone of this film and I would like to thank them in a big way at this happy time".
