Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam passed away on September 25 in Chennai. But to everyone's surprise, Balasubrahmanyam had asked a sculptor named Rajkumar to make a statue for himself in June itself.
The initial plan of Balasubrahmanyam was to get statues of his dad and mom but suddenly in June, he called Rajkumar over the phone and asked him to make a statue for the singer himself.
Due to the COVID19 threat, Balasubrahmanyam mailed his photograph and not visited the sculptor in person. Ironically, Rajkumar completed the statue just when the sad news of Balasubrahmanyam was out in the media.
Fans are surprised and some of them even tweeting that the singer predicted his death. Balasubrahmanyam recorded more than 40,000 songs in 16 Indian languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, he won six National awards and a proud recipient of the two civilian honors, Padmashri and Padma Bhushan.
