Actress Sreedevika has written a letter to the President of AMMA regarding certain events that she faced during the early years of her career.

In the letter dated Oct 16, 2018, she mentions about an incident that happened in 2006. She was working for a film, which she has not named.

“Someone was constantly knocking my hotel room door in the middle of the night and this happened for 3-4 nights continuously. I had called up the reception to look into who it was, and later they confirmed saying it’s the Director,” she says.

After her mother addressed the issue and complained to her co-actor, the director wouldn’t explain the scene or even at look at my face and speak, my dialogues and shots were trimmed.

“Why? Because I did not open the door at night?” she asks.

In their statement today, WCC has demanded AMMA’s response to this issue raised by Sreedevika as well.
