Subramanyam (Sai Dharam Tej) who works in America gets acquainted with Seetha (Regina) who comes to the USA to get married to her boyfriend when her family arranges another alliance against her wishes. On the day of marriage, she elopes to USA.

She gets engaged to her boyfriend and on the same day, she catches her boyfriend making out with his American girlfriend. - Feeling cheated, she has an emotional breakdown. Subramanyam who also runs a hotel was at the scene as he was catering for her engagement ceremony. He consoles her and takes her to his home. Slowly their friendship grows. Now she takes him to her home in India to attend her sister’s marriage ceremony and introduces him as her husband.

Director Harish Shankar, known for making movies with dose of entertainment, had a break in his success streak with Ramayya Vastavayya, which flopped miserably as it lacked entertainment among other things. To be back on the path of success, he has made Subramanyam For Sale with Sai Dharam Teja, and expectedly has played it safe - a regular movie but full of entertainment.

He has packaged the movie with all the required commercial ingredients - making Sai Dharam Tej do the antics of megastar Chiranjeevi and powerstar Pawan Kalyan, entertaining second half, super hit remix song, and some emotional scenes. All have been seen and done before but Harish Shankar has presented the film in a way that would strike the chord with the target audiences - fans and mass audiences.

Basic story reminds us of Chiranjeevi starrer Baavagaru Bagunnara. As said, not much novelty in the storyline but the screenplay is smooth.

Apart from some entertainment, it is Sai Dharam Tej who holds the movie with his high energy acting – sometimes following his uncle's antics. While first half sets up the story, second half runs on good comic sequences. The remix song – Guvva Gorinka from Khaidi No.786 is shot on beautiful locations of Grand Canyon with some nice steps from Sai Dharam Teja.

On the flip side, it is too predictable and also very lengthy. And many incidents happen as per convenience of the writer and director.

Sai Dharam Teja has improved his acting skills. Despite repeating the histrionics of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, he is slowly developing his own style. He has once again shown his impeccable dance skills. Regina too impresses in the role of Seetha. She shares good chemistry with SDT. She has also done some nice steps. Adah Sharma plays another female lead.

Brahmanandam has evoked some good laughs. Among other cast members, Ajay, Naga Babu and Rao Ramesh make some impression. Comedy sequence involving Rao Ramesh, Fish Venkat and Ajay in the end are hilarious.

On the technical side, Ram Prasad has come up with rich frames, and Mickey J Meyer provides one or two catchy songs. Story, screenplay and dialogues are written by the director himself. Dialogues are good too. As director, Harish Shankar has played to the gallery and fans with right use of emotional and entertaining scenes.

Subramanyam For Sale is an entertainingly packaged movie with many references of Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan. It is a regular commercial movie but with nice placement of songs and comedy sequences. Sai Dharam Tej with his dance steps and energy brings vigor to the movie.
