In a major coup of sorts, Trisha has knocked out Jyothika and the dark horse Asin to become mega star Chiranjeevi’s heroine for Stalin to be directed by Murugadoss.

Trisha who is now shooting the songs of Tamil film Aaru in Jordon is expected to be back in Chennai late Saturday. Murugadoss is expected to narrate the script to Trisha on Sunday (Oct 16) and she is likely to sign on the dotted line on Monday, after making some adjustments in her date diary!

It is a major victory for Trisha who was feeling the heat from Asin who has zoomed past her in Tamil after the Ghajini mega success. In fact both the girls cater to the same teeny bopper youth audience and have similar strategies and goodwill from their respective directors.

Asin was promised the heroine role opposite Chiranjeevi by Murugadoss after Ghajini but the mega star believes that his combination with Trisha will work wonders for the film. Remember that Trisha has never worked with any senior actors and it makes better sense for her now to play Chiru’s heroine.
