The Film Exhibitors United Organization of Kerala had clearly mentioned earlier that other language films should not be played in more than 125 screens.
But due to the massive expectations of ‘Bigil’, Vijay’s solid fan base along with the huge asking price, the film’s Kerala distributors Magic Frames and Prithviraj released it in more than 200 screens and broke the recently passed rules of the Film Exhibitors United Organization of Kerala (FEUOK).
Now, FEUOK has issued an official statement that Magic Frames and Prithviraj should pay a part of the share of ‘Bigil’ for violating the rules passed by the representatives of the exhibitors’ union.
If Magic Frames and actor Prithviraj fail to pay the fine, their future films will be banned in the state. It is worth mentioning that the massive screen count played a vital role in yielding profits even before the first week.
